Rules

1.    Date. Time. Organizer
The Narva Energy Run will take place on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 in the City Centre of Narva. Narva Energy Run is organized by Sport Event Team (Spordiürituste Korraldamise Klubi MTÜ in Estonian), in co-operation with Eesti Energia, the Narva City Government and sponsors.

 

2. Course. Start. Finish
The competition centre will be located on Narva promenade close to Narva River.

Distances:
21,1 km half marathon. Start at 11.00
7 km with timing. Start at 14.00
7 km without timing. Start at 14.00

 

Children Races take place close to Narva promenade at Narva River (in front of Beach House) starting at 11.30.

 

The course will consist of pavement roads and will be marked. For everybody's safety, the participants must obey orders given by traffic organizers.

There will be 6 refreshment stations on the half marathon course.

There will be 2 refreshment station on 7 km course.

The stations will offer water and sports drinks.

 

3. Participants
The lower age limit for the halfmarathon is 16 years (participants born 1999 or ealier), who haved trained enough for the race.  
By way of exceptions the younger participants can take part in the 21,1 km race at their parents risk or with parents.

On 7km distance is allowed  to take part all participants, who have trained enough for the race.

Participants will compete at their own risk (younger than 18 years old will copete at responsipility of their parents).

 

4. Registration
Registration takes place over the Internet at the address of www.jooks.ee. Registration will end on Friday, June 9th at 5:00 PM. Registration is opened in the morning of the competition day, from 9:00 AM. Registration will be closed 15 minutes before the start.

Participant will be registered after having paying the entry fee.

By registration and paying the entry fee, the participant shall accept the competition rules and regulations.

Participants that registered and paid the entry fee agree to receive e-mails containing important information for competitors.

 

5. Re-registration
Re-registration is allowed until 5 PM on June 9th, 2017. There will be no re-registration later. Re-registration is with fee. The fee is 10 EUR plus the registration fee for the new registration (total=new registration fee minus already paid registration fee plus 10 EUR for the change). Name change costs 10 EUR.

For the re-registration the fee should be transferred to orgnaizer account. Into the details of payment please add: ealier participants name, new participants name date of birth (f.ex Instead of Jane Jensen 21,1km Catrin Kask (25 May 1984). If you change the distance please add to details of payment which distance you will take part (f.ex Jane Jensen re-registration from 21,1 km to 7 km (run with timing)

Seniors from 60 years and youth under 20 years old will receive 20% discount. The discount -20% is also for Sportland and MyFitness clients (not valid in registration in June).

Companies, sportclubs, schools and the other groups with at least 10 runners get discount of 10 % (valid from January to May 2017, not valid in registration in June).

The entry fees will not be refunded if the participant cancels his/her participation. The fees are non-refundable in case of Force Majeure circumstances.

 

7. Start documents
Race documents consist of a race number with a chip, pins, an info booklet, sponsors materials.

Race documents will be issued on race day in the competition centre from 9:00 AM and will be finished 15 minutes before the start.

 

8. Start number (BIB)
Only entrants with official race numbers 2017 will be permitted to compete in the race. Race numbers are not transferable. Bibs should be pinned to the front of the T-shirt so that the numbers are clearly visible. The participants will get the safety pins with their start items. The participants can keep their numbers after the race.

10. Timekeeping
The timing device is on the back of your BIB. BIB must be weared on front of chest. Do not cover the BIB with jacket, BIB must be visible from start to fi nish. Do not fold or bend this BIB in any way! In case of damaged timing device the results may not recorded! The competitor can keep the BIB with timing device after the race, it does not need to return to organizers.

11. Medical Service
It will be possible to contact medical services along the course and at each refreshment station. It will also be available at the start/finish area. Medical personnel and organizers shall have the right to remove any participants with signs of injury or excessive strain from the race. In case of emergency call 112.

 

12. Cancelling
In case of cancelling, please inform organizers at the nearest refreshment station. Organizers have the right to remove a participant from the race if he/she does not arrive to the finish at 4:00 PM. Finish will be closed at 4:00 PM. Medical personnel and organizers shall have the right to remove any participants with signs of injury or excessive strain from the race.

 

13. Disqualification
Organizers shall have the right to disqualify a participant, if he/she does not obey the rules of competition, discommodes other competitors or obstructs organizers.

 

14. Award ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM (21,1 km), 2.50 PM (7 km). 3 men and 3 women (21,1 km and 7 km with timing) will be awarded. Different age groups (only 21,1 km 1st place) get their trophy in Secretariat tent during the competition day.

 

15. Photos
The organizers shall have the right to use the photos taken during Narva Energy Run.

 

16. Appeals
All appeals against results, violations etc. on first 50 finishers must be filed in an hour after the finish of the 50th finisher. The rest of appeals must be filed within 30 minutes after the finish is closed. Appeal fee is 20 EUR which is refunded only if the appeal is satisfied.
A jury that consists of the director, the head judge, the course designer and a doctor will handle all appeals.

 

17. General information
Participants are guaranteed a course, a start number, information leaflet, a result in a protocol, service at refreshment stations and at the finish area, awards ceremony, an electronic certificate, medical help and transport to the finish when needed.

Other unforeseen cases will be solved by the Organizing Committee.
