AIMS has a new home online – AIMS-WORLDRUNNING.ORG

The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) announces that from Tuesday 14 June 2016, AIMS has moved to a new home online – www.AIMS-worldrunning.org – ‘The home of world running™’. This change is part of an ongoing project to modernise the website and continue to provide a window to the world of running for races, runners, the worldwide media and running enthusiasts around the world.

Email Contact
With this new web address, email contact for AIMS is also being updated. AIMS headquarters can now be reached at aimshq@aims-worldrunning.org and AIMS Members looking to update their details/memberships should contact update@aims-worldrunning.org

Since inception in 1982, AIMS has provided valuable information and assistance to race organisers, runners, the media and running enthusiasts. Race organisers can access a unique library of information including practical help on how to organise and promote a world class running event from experts in their field.

Runners and in particular the international running tourist utilise AIMS to connect to more than 400 races in over 100 countries and territories from around the world. AIMS Member races encapsulate many of the greatest events including Boston, Chicago, New York, Berlin and Tokyo marathons as well as an event from the end of the earth, the North Pole Marathon to Africa’s Sahara Marathon. Runners can enter the Athens Marathon, the Authentic to run in the footsteps of Pheidippides, the soldier who inspired the modern marathon over 2,500 years ago by running from the battle of Marathon to Athens to declare victory. Runners taking part in AIMS member races can also run from the shadows of two the greatest falls in the world, Niagara in Canada and Victoria in Zimbabwe or run the Great Wall of China.

Finally, the global running media use AIMS’ website to follow the latest developments in the world of running. www.AIMS-worldrunning.org is simply the home of running, we hope you visit us soon and keep on running around the world.
