Regulation of Virtual Run

 

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 The virtual run of the Tallinn Marathon will take place from 1 September to 30 September 2021.

1.2 The virtual run includes the following distances: 

Combo marathon (42,2 km)
Marathon 42,2 km
Half-marathon 21,1 km
RIMI 10 km
5 km
Kid's races

1.3 Using a car, a bicycle, or another vehicle as a mean to help to complete the distance is prohibited. Participation in the virtual run is based on honesty and mutual respect.

1.4 The organiser: Sport Event Team (Spordiürituste Korraldamise Klubi) together with partners. 

 

2. PARTICIPANTS

2.1 Any person who is healthy and whose fitness level is suitable for completion of the chosen distance is eligible for participation in the virtual run of the Tallinn Marathon.

2.2 Participants take part in the virtual run of the Tallinn Marathon on their own responsibility (or on the responsibility of the parent in case of a minor). 

 

3. VIRTUAL REGISTRATION

3.1 Registration for participation in the virtual run is open in the jooks.ee Customer Portal.
3.2 Registration must be submitted before the morning of the last day of the event.
3.3 In order to register the participant must complete the registration form.
3.4 The participant is added to the start list after payment of the participation fee.
3.5 The official start list of the virtual run is published on the jooks.ee website starting from 10 August 2021, and it is updated as the event progresses until 30 September 2021.

4.1 The participation fee must be paid in the Customer Portal after completion of the registration form.

4.2 By completing the registration and paying the participation fee the participant confirms that:

4.2.1 the participant agrees with the terms and conditions established by the present instructions and by the organiser;
4.2.2 the participant agrees that their personal data will be used in accordance with the law and legal instruments. 

4.2.3 Agrees that an e-mail with relevant information for the participant (the participant’s manual) is sent to them before the event;

6. RE-REGISTRATION

8.1  Re-registration can be done,when signing in to the Customer Portal at www.tallinnmarathon.ee until 31.08.2021 at 17.00.

8.2  Re-registration before 31.07.2021 in for free. If you change the distance from one distance to another, you need to pay the difference. The overpaid participation fee will not be refunded.

8.3  Re-registration during August can be done for an additional fee 10 EUR + the participation fees difference.

 

7. CONFIRMATION OF COMPLETION OF THE COMBINED MARATHON, AND SUBMISSION OF THE TIME LOG

7.1 The combined distance of 42,2 km does not have to be completed at once.

7.2 The combo marathon distance of 42,2 km can be completed in parts.

For example:

10 x 4,22 km;
2 x 21,1 km;
10 km + 9 km + 8 km + 7 km + 8,2 km;

Other combinations are also allowed.

7.3 The shortest single distance is 4,2 km.

 

8. CONFIRMATION OF COMPLETION OF A REGULAR DISTANCE, AND SUBMISSION OF THE TIME LOG

8.1 The start list is published on the jooks.ee website in alphabetical order. 

8.2 All participants in the virtual run must submit their confirmation of completion of the distance in the start list latest 4th of October 2021.

8.3 In order to record completion of the distance, the participant must enter their result either electronically (the suitable formats are .fit, .gpx, .pwr, .tcx), or manually.

8.4 No official finish order of the virtual run will be recorded. The unofficial finish list together with finish times will be published on the jooks.ee website as the event progresses.

 

9. GENERAL RULES FOR THE VIRTUAL RUN PARTICIPANTS

9.1 Participants take part in the virtual run on their own responsibility. For safety considerations, all participants must observe the traffic regulations. The organiser is not responsible for harm caused to the health of the participants or for the destruction or loss of their personal property. 
9.2 Participation in the virtual run is allowed only in accordance with all traffic regulations presently in force. If during the virtual run the state of emergency is declared in the country, all participants must comply with restrictions and rules arising from that.
9.3 Throwing away packaging, drinking bottles, and other rubbish in nature and on the roads and streets is strictly forbidden.
