Tallink Maijooks

Guide

 

Tallink Maijooks will be held on the Tallinn Song Festival Ground on 23 May 2020.

  2. Participants
    1. Tallink Maijooks (henceforth Maijooks) is the largest movement event targeted for women in Estonia.
    2. Participation at Maijooks is at one’s own risk (at the parent’s or carer’s risk of a minor).
    3. The organisers recommend passing a health examination before participation.
    4. Only participants with a personal official bib are permitted on the Maijooks course.
    5. Participating in Maijooks with baby strollers or pets is not permitted.
       
  3. Competition centre at the Tallinn Song Festival Ground
    1. Competition centre houses:
      1. Race office (issuing of starting materials, registration)
      2. Dressing areas and baggage storage
      3. Toilets and paid showering options
      4. Unsupervised bicycle park
         
  4. Course (ca 7 km)
    1. Maijooks course: Mere gate of the Song Festival Ground - Pirita tee - light traffic road of Lillepi park - Kose tee/Urva St intersection - Urva St - Künnapuu St - Lepa põik - Maarjamäe light traffic roads - finish at the Song Festival Ground
    2. The course has one drink stop (on the 3rd km)
       
  5. Start organisation
    1. Maijooks start is at the Mere gate of the Song Festival Ground.
    2. The start corridors are opened 30 minutes before start.

  1. It is obligatory to start in your own group.
     
  1. Finish
    1. Finish is located in front of the Song Festival Ground stage.
    2. Finish is closed at 17.00.
       
  2. Registration
    1. Registration is open at www.jooks.ee and during the competition week at the race office.
    2. Online registration is open until 22.05.2020 at 17.00 or until 15,000 participants are reached.
    3. To register, fill the registration form.
    4. Participant’s name is entered in the start list after the participation fee is paid.
    5. Participation fee can be paid via the bank link after the registration form is filled. After that the participant is immediately entered in the start list.
    6. When paying by bank transfer, the participant is entered in the start list within seven days after the participation fee is received.
    7. Participant’s name in the start list confirms successful registration. The start list is available at the Maijooks website at www.jooks.ee.
    8. Group registration is possible at the Maijooks website at www.jooks.ee.
    9. Groups can be registered with a discount until 30.04.2020.
       
  3. Re-registration
    1. Re-registration is done in the self-service environment of www.jooks.ee.
    2. Re-registration is possible until 11 May 2020 (17.00).
    3. Re-registration is paid. 
      1. Name change costs 10 EUR.
      2. Distance change costs 10 EUR + participation fees difference.

  1. Discounts are valid from 1.01.2020 to 30.04.2020
  2. The prices include value added tax 20%. Registration fee is not refunded in case of withdrawal.

  2. Timing
    1. Time is measured electronically at timed distances. 
    2. Timing is done using a chip attached at the back of the bib.
    3. Do not remove the chip from the bib and do not fold the bib.
    4. The bib must be placed on the chest and it must be visible throughout the run, from start to crossing the finish line.
    5. When finishing, do not cover the bib with your hand, otherwise your time may not be recorded.
       
  3. Results
    1. Results are published at www.jooks.ee
    2. Ranking in age groups is identified on the 7 km timed distances according to the finish record.
       
  4. Medical aid
    1. Medical aid is available based on need all along the course.
    2. If you see someone at the course who needs help, please inform the medical staff moving at the course wearing distinguishing marks, personnel related with organisation or call 112.

 

  1. Awarding
    1. Three fastest women of the 7 km timed run are awarded at Maijooks.
    2. The best of different age groups are not awarded separately.
    3. Special prizes are drawn at random between all participants.
    4. Everyone completing the 7 km course will receive a participant medal.
       
  2. Appeals
    1. Appellation fee is 20 euros which is ensured only if the appeal is satisfied.
    2. All appeals concerning the competition are solved by the competition jury, which includes the head organiser of Maijooks, the head of the race office and the timing service provider.
    3. All appeals concerning the event results, breach of rules, etc. among the first 50 finishers must be submitted within 1h after the 50th runner finishes, for all other runners the appellation term is 30 minutes after the finish is closed.
    4. Circumstances not covered in the guide shall be solved by the organisers on site.
       
  3. Rights of the organiser
    1. The organiser has the right to disqualify the participant if they do not follow the rules of the sport event, disturb other participants or hinder the organisation of the sport event in another manner.
    2. The organisers have the right to use the photos and videos taken at the event.
    3. Participation fee is not refunded if Maijooks is cancelled due to reasons independent from the organiser.
    4. By registering and paying the starting fee, the participant:
      1. agrees with this guide and the conditions provided by the organiser;
      2. agrees that their personal data is used according to the laws and regulations; 
      3. agrees that an e-mail with relevant information for the participant is sent to them before the event;
      4. confirms that they have sufficient training and they are healthy enough to take part in the sports event.
