Today, Tallinn Song Festival Grounds filled with movement, music and springtime energy as the LHV Women’s Run — the largest women’s movement event in the Baltics — took place for the 39th time.

A record-breaking 15,000 women registered for the traditional 7 km race and walk, creating the biggest edition in the event’s history. Participants were sent onto the course by U18 pole vault world record holder Allika Inkeri Moser.

For the third consecutive year, the 7 km race was won by Liis-Grete Hussar in 24:12. Second place went to Meril Adeela Alev (24:54), followed by Sandra Bulina (25:31).

Earlier in the day, more than 5,000 children took part in the joyful Limpa Kids’ Race in front of the iconic Tallinn Song Festival Stage. The day ended with a lively spring concert by Estonian artist reket.

The LHV Women’s Run weekend continues on Sunday with another historic moment — the very first women’s half marathon in the Baltics. Runners can also take part in the 21.1 km distance as part of a three-member relay team, with each participant completing approximately 7 km.

Sunday’s programme at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds also includes: Lottemaa play area and children’s programme

  • A concert performance by Lottemaa
  • A live spring concert by Traffic

Throughout the weekend, visitors can also enjoy the Health Fair and the entertaining Men’s Area.
