Leonid Latsepov and Helen Bell win the 2025 Narva City Run
The 2025 Narva City Run concluded with impressive performances on both the 10 km and 5 km courses. Helen Bell and Leonid Latsepov claimed victory on the 10-kilometre distance, while the 5 km titles went to Hillevi Velba and Spanish runner Roberto Abia. Co-funded by the European Union’s Just Transition Fund, Ida-Virumaa’s largest mass participation sporting event brought together runners from across the region, all over Estonia, and 21 different countries.
On the event’s main race day, Leonid Latsepov (Sparta Sports Club) won the men’s 10 km in 30:57. He was followed by Olavi Allase (Tartu Kalev) in 31:49, with Raido Ränkel (Võru Ski Club) finishing third in 33:03.
Among women, Helen Bell (Sparta) took the win with a time of 37:02, ahead of teammate Anni Kingsepp (40:13) and Sandra Tamm (42:23).
In the 5 km race, Roberto Abia took the men’s victory in 16:19, followed by Roman Fosti (Enefit Sports Club) in 16:35, and Aleksandr Patrenkin – the fastest Narva runner – in 17:03.
The women’s top finishers were Hillevi Velba (20:06), Madli Heinmaa (Tallinna Kalev, 20:53), and Katrin Männimets-Sevastjanov (FB Jooksmine, 22:26).
Earlier in the day, around 1,000 children participated in the cheerful Limpa Kids’ Run on Joaoru Island, setting the tone for a festive and active Sunday. The celebrations continued with the Narva City Days and ESTO 2025 cultural programme, filling the city with music, performances, and international spirit.
The Narva City Run, part of Estonia’s largest running series – the RIMI City Runs – served as the fifth stage of the 2025 season. The event, co-financed by the EU’s Just Transition Fund, welcomed participants from every municipality in Ida-Virumaa and from all across the globe.
