The registration for 2021 Narva Energy Run is open!

Registration for the Narva Energy Run held for the tenth time already is now open.
If the health risks are mitigated in Estonia, five thousand entrants are expected for the first time in the biggest sports event in Ida-Viru County to be held on 12 June 2021.

The programme of the Narva Energy Run traditionally includes a 21.1 kilometre half-marathon and a 6 kilometre distance for runners and walkers. In cooperation with the Estonian Athletic Association, Estonian half-marathon championships, in which Estonia’s best long distance runners compete alongside numerous amateurs, are already traditionally held in Narva.

The varied course of the biggest sports event in Ida-Viru County takes the entrants to the territory of the historic Kreenholm Textile Factory, runs across several streets and light traffic roads of the Narva City, and makes a diversion to the Päklimäe health trails in Äkke Village that have made a huge step forward. All finishers of the half-marathon and six kilometre distance will be awarded a unique jubilee medal of the Energy Run.

The Narva Energy Run is a sports event for the whole family, encouraging participation from even the smallest of sports enthusiasts. By the beach building on the Joaoru Island, fun children’s races will be held with free entrance for everybody. All entrants in the children’s races, too, will receive a jubilee run medal at the finish.

4329 amateur sportspeople participated in the Energy Run of 2017 with the highest number of entrants so far. The goal of the tenth run is to break this record and hold for the first time in Ida-Viru County a public sports event involving five thousand entrants on 12 June 2021.

As a prerequisite for the jubilee run to take place, we need to mitigate the health risks associated with the coronavirus in Estonia so much that organising the major event will be allowed by the rules imposed on public events. If the Narva Energy Run nevertheless cannot take place this year, the entry fee will be refunded to all the running enthusiasts registered.

The Narva Energy Run is an event created on the initiative of Eesti Energia, the Narva City, the Ministry of Culture, and Sport Event Team in order to encourage people to engage in recreational sports and increase Ida-Viru County’s importance on Estonia’s culture and sports scene. The Narva Energy Run is also the fourth stage of the Selver City Runs, Estonia’s biggest public sports series.
