History was made at the Tallinn Women’s Run – LHV Maijooks

17.05.2026

Today, the Baltic’s very first women’s half marathon took place at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds as part of the LHV Women’s Run.

More than 500 women started the 21.1 km course, while 109 women’s relay teams took on the 3 × 7 km relay half marathon. The historic race was officially started by Estonian half marathon record holder Tiidrek Nurme.

The first-ever Baltic women’s half marathon was won by Liis-Grete Hussar from sports club Kuldne Tervis with a time of 1:19:58. Second place went to Kertu Kula (Sparta Sports Club) in 1:26:33, followed by Kaisa Rahu (UP43) in 1:27:02.

The winners of the relay half marathon were team Täppsportlased — Bret Schär, Liliana Torn and Kristiina Verevmägi — finishing in 1:21:15. Second place went to Luigetrio, featuring Rio Olympians Liina, Leila and Lily Luik, while third place was claimed by team Kiired Luiged.

Beyond the races, Tallinn Song Festival Grounds was filled with music, movement and springtime energy. Visitors enjoyed the Lottemaa play area, the Lottemaa concert performance and the lively spring concert by the band Traffic.

Today was not only about finish times and medals — it marked the beginning of a new tradition in Baltic women’s running.
