Why to come to Tallinn Marathon?

Tallinn - the Baltic pearl

Experience the most well-preserved medieval city in Northern Europe by running the Tallinna Maraton. Our courses start and finish in the UNESCO declared Tallinn Old Town, will take you through the modern City Centre and give you a chance to experience picturesque views from Rocca al Mare. Since Estonia is a technology-crazy country, free wifi will enable you to share your experiences with friends.

Let the celebrations continue

In 2018, Estonia celebrated its centennial anniversary and Tallinna Maraton made up the sports event with the largest participant number that the one-hundred-year-old Estonia has ever witnessed - with a total of 23 940 participants. In 2019 we celebrated Tallinn city's 800th birthday! In 2021, we are happy to host the first World Athletics Elite Label marathon and half-marathon in Estonia!

Distances for all abilites

Tallinna Maraton offers a whole weekend of runs with something to suit everyone - all ages and all abilities. Our three-day programme starts on Friday with the We Run Tallinn 5km, followed by half-marathon and 10km race on Saturday. Our 10km distance welcomes everyone - runners, walkers and Nordic walkers! On Sunday morning the marathon runners will start their race and on the same day there are kids' races. Choose a distance best suited for you and your family!

Crush your running goals in Tallinn

A runner friendly weather with 14-17C in this latitude in September and our relatively fast-flat track are important aspects why international runners join the Tallinna Maraton. In 2017, the marathon winner's time was a world class time of 2:09.22. In 2018, we welcomed a record number of 5 000 international runners from 67 different countries. In 2019, our runners finished their race through the gorgeous and historical Viru Gates. Since this finish place was magical, our runners get to experience it again in 2021.
